Every one wants to look fair and beautiful. Although everyone is not privileged with beautiful skin. Some other factors such as tanning, dust, pollution also causes darkening. Despite these factors, you can make your skin fair and beautiful. You can use home remedies for skin whitening. The natural methods for skin whitening are as follows:-

Use lemon juice for skin whitening- lemon has natural bleaching agents. Since last many years, it is used as skin lightener. It contains acids that helps in making skin lighter. Although, it is advised not to use pure lemon juice. Mix it with water and keep the mixture on your face for around 15-20 minutes and then wash it. It is advised to use warm water for better results. Do not apply this skin whitening method more than 3 times in a week. More frequent use of lemon on your skin can cause many side-effects.   Avoid sun while applying lemon on your face. 

Skin Lightening Paste:- For more concentrated benefits, try making a thick paste using natural ingredients that help lighten the skin. Spread a paste on your freshly washed face, leave it in place for 15 minutes, then rinse it away with warm water. Here are two recipes for natural lightening pastes:
  • Turmeric paste. Pour 1 tablespoon of turmeric into a bowl. Add enough lemon juice or milk to make a thick paste.
  • Gram flour paste. Pour ¼ cup of gram flour into a bowl. Add enough lemon juice or milk to make a thick paste.
Yogurt:- Dahi offers natural remedy for skin whitening. It gently lightens your skin tone. You can mix it with honey and can make a very effective skin whitening mask. Mix one part honey and one part yogurt, then spread the mixture on your face and body. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes, then rinse it away with warm water.


Oranges:-The most important ingredient in skin care is vitamin C, which you can get in abundance from oranges. Plus, oranges have bleaching properties that can lighten your skin tone.

It has been found that regular consumption of fresh orange juice can greatly improve the overall texture of your skin as well as its suppleness. To lighten your skin, oranges can be used in two different ways.

Make a paste by combining two tablespoons of orange juice and a pinch of powdered turmeric. Apply the paste on your face and neck before going to bed. You can also apply it on your hands and legs. Wash it off the next morning. Do this daily.

Grind dried orange peels into powder. Mix one tablespoon of the powdered peels with one tablespoon of plain yogurt to make a paste. Apply the paste on your skin and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse it off with water. This will help lighten spots and other marks on your face. Do this once or twice a week, but no more than that.

Potato Juice:- Not only does it whiten your skin, it also rids dark circles and eye bags when applied under eyes. Blend a potato and squeeze its juice out. Later apply it onto your face using a cotton ball or a facial cotton. Apply evenly and leave it on until it dries. Rinse and cleanse your face with a mild soap. Potato juice is also known for its moisturising properties.
