What are the Side- Effects of Green Tea?

Everytime, you read the article about the benefits of green tea but every coin has two sides. Same with the case of green tea. With offering multiple benefits, there are also some side effects of green tea which you must know:-

Contains Caffeine:-  You can experience the side effect of green tea due to presence of caffeine. Some people believe that green tea does not contain caffeine but the information is misleading. No brand offer purely herbal green tea. You can also check out the cover where amount of caffeine is mentioned. Although amount of caffeine is very lower than normal tea. But over consumption of green tea such as more than 3 to 4 cup in a day may cause side effects such diarrhea, frequent urination, insomnia, problem in stomach etc. So beware if you also consume green tea in such quantity and experience such kind of symptoms.

Side effects of Green Tea for Pregnant Women:- If you are addicted for green and pregnant then check out the quantity, you are consuming. Pregnant women can drink green tea but in not more than 1 cup in a day. Over consumption of green tea for pregnant women may cause miscarriages. It is also advised not to drink green tea for lactating mother as it may pass to the breast milk. So both lactating and pregnant should avoid green tea.

Deficiency of Iron:- If you are consuming more than 2 cups then you face this side effect of green tea. It sounds false but its really true because there is a compound found in green tea which may block the absorption of food and supplements.

 Impacts the testosterone levels:- You must be taking cups of green tea with thinking that the as much as you drink, you will be more healthier.  But it is not true, besides above mentioned side effects of green tea, there is a very negative impact of green tea on a hormone which is referred as testosterone. According to the Brazilian study conducted it has been found that high consumption of green tea may impact the male reproductive system.

Cause Harm to Liver:- It is believed that green tea is good for liver but it is not right.The intake of excess amount of catechins may cause liver problems. A process is associated with it which may cause problems like hepatitis, jaundice and in some cases liver failure. So if you are taking so may cup of green tea with the notion that you would have better digestion than stop it from today.

Diuretic Effects- There are many diuretic effects of green tea due to presence of caffeine. When green tea extract mixed with caffeine causes diuretic effect. It makes to urinate more frequently. The frequent loss of water from body may cause reduction in blood pressure and also dehydration. Besides diuretic impacts, there are some other side effects of green tea if taken into large quantity. So you should drink green tea but there should be particular amount in which it should taken- Like you can drink 2 to 3 cups of green tea.
