Tanu hasn't  lost her weird, irresponsible and audacious ways, Datto is a sincere, young girl, a fiercely independent one, who takes up responsibilities. From the body languages of the two women to their accents, Kangana aces it to the T.  She proves yet again that she is one of the few heroines in Bollywood who is willing to experiment with different roles and still come out as the most convincing every time.

Tanu Weds Manu Review by India Express:- That is what ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ is, ultimately, a film that is enjoyable despite its occasional slides into message-y territory: Rajesh Sharma, as the ‘progressive’ brother of Datto, gets to deliver a speech on female empowerment; Swara Bhaskar has a nice alive bit about a woman making a tough choice, though you do wish it didn’t have to come down to a male acceptance of it. And for a girl who wants everything on her own terms, Tanu’s desperate desire for, and succumbing to, a conventional end feels like it was done to up the feel-good factor.

But these things do not weigh things down because we are too busy watching an actress stride through its ups and downs, earning each scene, and the film. I would buy a ticket for Kangana Ranaut.
