Bio Oil Reviews on Amazon.Com
I used bio oil every day since I found out I was pregnant. In conjunction with taking vitamin e supplements, I report no stretch marks after delivering a 9 lb 4 oz baby. Here are photos. Before and 1 week after baby delivery.. No stretchies!!
P.S. I'm not sure wether or not I was genetically predisposed to having stretch marks as my mother passed away when I was 5 and I have no sisters to compare results to. But these are my results!
I would have given 3 stars if the product wasn't so expensive or hyped up. I used this for 3 months day and night on my face for some slight discoloration and minimal acne scars. I found nothing special or even effective about bio-oil. It did nothing but clog my pores and break me out. It wasn't even an effective moisturizer. Save your money!!! All these great reviews must be bogus.
I’m a pretty big fan of bio-oil, I’ve been using it for years since it first came out. There’s numerous advantages of using this type of oil over other body oils, for example, Neutrogena which is comparable in price, is simply not as good as Bio Oil, surprisingly, for stretchmarks and small scars. I’ve seen noticeable decrease in stretch marks around my inner thighs and around my stomach after pregnancy, and I do not get the same effect with Neutrogena. Neutrogena acted as a good moisturizer for my skin, but Bio Oil really performed better on multiple fronts, not just one. That said, I would NOT recommend using Bio Oil as a facial moisturizer by any means! It’s exactly what it say it is, an OIL, which will leave your pores feeling clogged and your face greasy if you use it as a daily facial moisturizer. It’s PERFECT for the body, but not something you should put around your face on a regular basis. For the face, I use this vitamin c serum , which acts as a hydrator and a helps keep the moisture in your skin naturally without making your skin feel oily or clogged. You can use it under make-up too, which is a huge plus – something you couldn’t do with Bio Oil. As far as pure facial cream, I’m torn between using Eucerin which is a great value product, and Olay which is a bit more expensive, but you’ll see the difference when you try it. I don’t think any of those facial creams are as appropriate or good as the Vitamin C Serum I recommended, purely because the bang for your buck and the ability to wear make-up over it, but if you’re not wearing make-up (IE: sleeping at night, Olay night cream might be a good option. Clearly I’ve gotten a little side-tracked here, but anyway, I hope this review helps. In summation, use Bio Oil for a whole-body massage, to work out some stretch marks or small scars over time, but do not put it on your face unless you have extremely dry skin and no problem with pimples. If your skin is at all normal or if you have pimples, use a Vitamin C Serum instead it’s leagues better and less greasy.
